   2 cups flour
   1/2 cup sugar
   2 teaspoons baking powder
   1 teaspoon cinnamon
   1 egg, beaten
   1/2 cup applesauce
   1/2 cup milk
   1 1/2 tablespoons oil

Sift dry ingredients together. Mix together egg, applesauce, milk and oil. Blend in dry ingredients. Mix all well. Drop by small teaspoons into hot oil in deep fryer. They will turn themselves. Remove from oil and drain well. Roll in powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar mixture.
