Honeyed Apples: Syrup Mixture A

   1/2 cup sugar
   Peanut oil to moisten
   1/2 cup light corn syrup, optional


Combine sugar with enough peanut oil to moisten, and cook, stirring, over low heat until the sugar dissolves and becomes syrupy. (You may also add light corn syrup.)
