Pastry for One-Crust Pie (page 117), Buttermilk Pastry (page 121) or Pat-in-the-Pan Oil Pastry (see recipes)
___ cup sugar
___ cup butter or stick margarine, melted
_ cup corn syrup
___ teaspoon salt
_ large eggs
_ cup pecans halves or broken pecans
1. Heat oven to 375°. Make pastry for unbaked One-Crust Pie.
2. Beat sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt and eggs in medium bowl with wire whisk or hand beater until well blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate.
3. Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until center is set.
*Spreads with at least 65% vegetable oil can be used.
