2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground mace
2 tablespoons flour
3 cups hot chicken stock
2 pounds chopped ripe tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Simmer olive oil, onion, garlic, and mace about 5 minutes; sprinkle onion mixture with flour. Cook while stirring 2 minutes. Whisk in chicken stock; add tomatoes and sugar. Heat to boiling; then reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes. Cool and purée in blender; pour through sieve into bowl. Whisk in sour cream. Add salt and pepper.
