This versatile strawberry sauce keeps for several days in the refrigerator. Use over French toast, angel food cake, or waffles. The sauce will keep for several days if stored in a tightly covered container in the refrigerator.
1 pound frozen whole unsweetened strawberries, thawed
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
In a food processor or blender, process the strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. If desired, strain the sauce through a cheesecloth, lined colander, or small sieve to remove strawberry seeds.
