To make decorative canapés on crackers ahead of time, first spread the crackers with this easy mixture. Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon unflavored gelatin in 1 tablespoon water over medium heat. Stir in 1/2 cup real mayonnaise. Top the sealed crackers with the ingredients of your choice; cover and chill up to 3 hours. The crackers will stay amazingly crisp.
