1 tablespoon flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolk, slightly beaten
2 cups milk, scalded
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups light cream or evaporated milk
Mix together flour, sugar, salt and egg yolks in saucepan. Gradually add scalded milk; cook over low heat until mixture coats a spoon. Strain and cool. Add vanilla and cream. Freeze
