Serve as a dip or use as a substitute for Guacamole in other recipies.
2 cups water
1 cup green split peas
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sour cream
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh, finely chopped onions or 1 tablespoon dehydrated onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Few dash Tabasco hot pepper sauce
Combine water, peas, and salt; bring to a boil and simmer for one hour. Cool to room temperature and purée in blender or food processor until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients. Blend well; cover and refrigerate.
