Filled Cheese Turnovers

Serves: 12

   3 (3-ounce) packages cream cheese
   1/4 cup butter or margarine
   1 1/2 cups flour
   1/4 cup wheat germ
   1 1/2 cups cooked beef, fish, chicken, turkey, etc.
   1 tablespoon minced onions
   1 tablespoon chopped celery
   1 teaspoon chopped parsley
   1 egg
   1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
   1/2 teaspoon salt
   1/8 teaspoon pepper


Combine cream cheese, butter, flour and wheat germ. Shape into ball and chill one hour; roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Combine cooked meat, onion, celery, parsley, egg, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Place a tablespoon of filling on half of each round of dough; Fold over and bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350°F until lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
