   1 (8-ounce) package chopped dates
   1/4 cup sugar
   2 tablespoons lemon juice
   1/3 cup water
   1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Cook dates, sugar, lemon juice, and water together, stirring constantly. Cool and add walnuts.
