2 packages frozen lima beans or 2 cups dried lima beans, cooked
2 cups corn whole kernel (fresh, frozen or canned)
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash black pepper
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cream


Cook lima beans in boiling salted water until tender. Mix cooked beans with corn (if frozen corn is used, use straight from the package and if canned is used, drain). Add butter, salt, pepper, sugar and water. Cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain. Add cream. Heat but do not boil.
