Sift together:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
Bring to a rapid boil in sauce pan:
8 tablespoons margarine
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/2 cup vegetable shortening Crisco
1 cup water

1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
* Part two.
8 tablespoons margarine
4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
1/3 cup milk
1 box powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
* Pour over flour and sugar mixture and stir well. Add to mixture: Mix well. Pour in a 11" by 17" greased pan and bake 15 to 18 minutes at 400°.
Frosting
*Bring margarine, cocoa and milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Frost cake while cake is still hot, then sprinkle 1 cup of chopped nuts on the top.
