Butterscotch Frosting

1 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
5 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk


Combine the above ingredients and let boil over medium heat for 3 minutes. Stir so that it does not burn on the bottom. Cool, then add 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar. If the frosting should get too thick to spread nicely, add a little cream.
