_ 1/3 cups Original Bisquick®
___ cup milk
_ tablespoons maple syrup
_ tablespoons margarine or butter, melted
_ (8-ounce) package (7 or 8 ounces) frozen sausages patties
_ slices process American cheese, cut diagonally in half
1. Heat oven to 425°. Stir Bisquick, milk, maple syrup and margarine until soft dough forms (dough will be sticky).
2. Place dough on surface sprinkled with Bisquick; roll in Bisquick to coat. Shape into a ball; knead 8 to 10 times. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 3-inch round cutter dipped in Bisquick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
3. Cook sausage patties as directed on package. Cut warm biscuits horizontally in half. Place sausage patty and piece of cheese in each biscuit. Serve with additional maple syrup if desired.
HIGH ALTITUDE (3500 to 6500 feet): Heat oven to 450°. Bake 9 to 11 minutes.
