Makes 1 1/3 tablespoons
Mustard seed has a nutty character that plays well with the other members of this rub. Terrific on pork, seafood, and chicken. Heads up: This one has a bit of a kick to it.
_ teaspoon mustard seeds
_ teaspoon celery seed
_ teaspoon dried thyme
___ teaspoon kosher salt
___ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
___ teaspoon cayenne pepper
In a small bowl combine the ingredients. Press the rub into both sides of the meat or seafood and refrigerate for one hour prior to grilling to intensify flavors.
