Makes about 1 1/2 cups
This is a classic sauce for pulled pork but it also works well with grilled and shredded chicken, beef, or lamb. Shredded meat is really what it takes to soak up this thin wonder. Pucker up!
_ 1/2 cups cider vinegar
_ tablespoons granulated sugar
_ teaspoon Tabasco hot pepper sauce
___ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
In a medium sucepan combine the ingredients, including salt and pepper to taste, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes. Allow to cool to room temperature. Sprinkle on the meat just before serving.
