Makes 2 tablespoons
When looking to the Far East for flavor, look no further than this beguiling mixture. It carries chicken and beef thousands of culinary miles in a matter of minutes.


   _ teaspoon granulated garlic
   _ teaspoon granulated onions
   _ teaspoon paprika
   ___ teaspoon cumin
   ___ teaspoon dried lemongrass
   ___ teaspoon dried basil
   ___ teaspoon dried thyme
   ___ teaspoon kosher salt
   ___ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
   ___ teaspoon cayenne pepper


In a small bowl combine the ingredients. Press the rub into all sides of the meat and refrigerate for 1 hour prior to grilling to intensify flavors.
