Buttermilk Herb Marinade

Buttermilk has a tangy kick and it works well as a tenderizer. This recipe has a nice, homey American flavor that suits both chicken and pork.


   _ cup buttermilk
   _ tablespoon Dijon style mustard
   _ tablespoon honey
   _ tablespoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
   ___ teaspoon dried thyme
   ___ teaspoon dried sage
   ___ teaspoon dried marjoram
   _ teaspoon salt
   ___ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
