Prep Time: 30 minutes (ready in 1 hour 15 minutes) - Yield: 6 servings
1 refrigerated pie shell (from 15-ounce package) or Pastry for One-Crust Filled Pie in Desserts, Cakes & Pies
8 slices bacon
8 ounces Swiss cheese, cut into thin strips (2 cups)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups half and half
1/4 cup chopped onions
Dash pepper
1. Heat oven to 350'F. Prepare pie crust for one-crust filled pie using 9-inch pie pan.
2. Cook bacon in large skillet over medium heat until crisp. Remove from skillet; drain on paper towels. Crumble.
3. In medium bowl, combine cheese and flour; mix well. In large bowl, beat eggs slightly. Add half-and-half, onion, pepper, bacon and cheese mixture; mix well. Spoon into crust-lined pan.
4. Bake at 350'F. for 40 to 45 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
