Pear Conserve

Ingredients

25 medium pears, unpeeled
2 (14-ounce) packages pineapple tidbits
2 oranges, juiced and rind grated (zest)
12 cups sugar
1 (13-ounce) bottle maraschino cherry

Directions:

Chop pears into small pieces. Add pineapple tidbits, orange juice, orange zest and sugar let stand overnight. Next morning, cook slowly until thick, about two hours. Add cherries. Seal in hot, sterilized jars.
