Apricot Conserve

Ingredients

apricot
1 1/4 cups water
1 large orange ground fine
1 1/4 cups water
4 tablespoons lemon juice
1 package dry pectin or bottle liquid pectin
1 cup blanched almonds chopped
8 1/2 cups sugar

Directions:

Wash, pit and crush apricots. Add water and simmer 15 minutes. Put through coarse sieve. Simmer orange, water, and lemon juice for 15 minutes. Combine apricot and orange mixtures to make 6-1/2 cups. Add pectin, and almonds. Bring to a boil and add sugar. Bring to full, rolling boil for 4 minutes, keep stirring as it will burn easily. Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
