Sloppy Joes


Serves: 6

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef, lean
1/2 onion, chopped fine
2 stalks celery, including leaves, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
2 tomatoes, fresh, (medium) pureed in blender
2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
3 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns split and toasted

Directions:

1. Put meat in heavy frying pan and cook over medium heat until brown. Drain in a colander to rid of all fat.
2. Combine remaining ingredients, except hamburger buns, in pan and sauté over medium heat for 5 minutes. Add meat, reduce heat, and simmer, covered, for 15 minutes more. Stir frequently.
3. Serve on hamburger bun half.
