Green Bean Casserole |

1/2 pound green beans fresh green beans, cooked or 1 16-ounce can cut
6 slices bacon
1/2 onion large, chopped
1 cup mozzarella cheese diced
1 cup half and half

Heat oven to 350° F. Drain beans. Cut bacon in small pieces and fry until almost crisp. Remove bacon from skillet. Sauté onion in bacon grease until cooked but not brown; remove and drain. Mix beans, bacon, onion, and diced cheese; turn into a lightly-greased 1-quart casserole. Add enough half-and-half to barely cover beans. Bake for 30 minutes, uncovered.
* In today's market, 1 9-ounce package of frozen beans, cooked, may be used.
