3 tomatoes medium, skinned and sliced
2 cucumbers medium, pared and sliced
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Freshly ground pepper to taste
Arrange sliced tomatoes and cucumbers on platter and chill. Combine sour cream, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir well. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Spoon over vegetables and let marinate in refrigerator until ready to serve (no longer than 30 minutes to keep vegetables from weeping).
