Butter a deep-dish pie plate and fill it with peeled, thinly sliced apples. Sprinkle with a mixture of 1/8 cup sugar and cinnamon. Scatter the raisins. In a quart jar, shake together biscuit mix, eggs, milk, and remaining sugar until they are evenly blended, and pour over apples. Bake at 375° for 35–45 minutes or until apples are tender.
