Date Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup pitted, chopped dates

Directions:

Cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Add egg, sour cream and vanilla mix well. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and nutmeg add to mixture. Add oats and dates mix well. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F for about 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
