1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup pitted, chopped dates
Cream together butter, brown sugar and white sugar. Add egg, sour cream and vanilla; mix well. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and nutmeg; add to mixture. Add oats and dates; mix well. Drop by spoonful onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350°F for about 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
