Swiss Steak with Vegetables

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds beef round steaks
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons oils
6 carrots, cut into 2" pieces
4 medium potatoes, cut into 2" cubes
1 medium onion, sliced
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of onion soup
1/2 cup water

Directions:

Cut round steak into serving portions. Pound the meat with tenderizer so it gets those nice little slashes in it (or you can buy it pre-tenderized). Season the meat with salt and pepper and dust with flour. In your skillet, brown the meat in oil on both sides. Place the vegetables in the bottom of the crockpot and place the meat on top of the vegetables. Mix the soup and water and pour over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hrs. This is really good served with noodles or rice to sop up the gravy.
