Pizza in a Crescent

Ingredients

1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
1/3 cup chopped onion
1 pound bulk pork sausage, crumbled
1 (15-ounce) can pizza sauce, divided
2 (8-ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
4 slices mozzarella cheese, halved

Directions:

In large skillet, cook pepper, onion, and sausage until sausage is no longer pink; drain. Stir in 3 tablespoons pizza sauce. Separate dough into 8 rectangles, pressing middle perforations to seal. Place 1/4 cup sausage mixture and a folded cheese slice on one end of each rectangle. Fold dough in half over filling; press edges to seal. Place on ungreased baking pan. Bake at 375° for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown. Heat remaining pizza sauce and serve with crescents.
