Cuban Sandwich

Ingredients

1 loaf Cuban bread, hard crust (or French bread)
mustard
9 thin slices ham
9 thin slices roast pork, hot or cold
9 thin slices Swiss or provolone cheese
9 - 12 pickle slices

Directions:

Slice bread open-face so both halves are still barely connected; spread mustard on both halves. Layer with ham and then roasted pork. Add cheese and a few pickle slices. Spray sandwich press with a little butter-flavored Pam, or brush softened butter on outside of bread. Place sandwich in sandwich press and press down until cheese is melted and bread is slightly hard to the touch. Slice diagonally into 3 or 4 sandwiches.

Editor's Extra:
No press? Place sandwich in a hot skillet and press down on it with a heavy kitchen object, maybe a baking pan (some, believe it or not, use a brick wrapped in foil).
