Marinara Sauce

Serving size: 1/4 cup

Keep a batch on hand in the freezer. The taste compliments shrimp or pasta and is a great dipping sauce for baked chicken finger


   24 ounces tomatoes puree
   1 green pepper, chopped
   1/2 cup minced onions
   1 teaspoon dried oregano
   1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced
   1 red bell pepper
   1 teaspoon dried basil
   1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Let simmer 40 to 50 minutes, allowing flavors to blend.
