Brown Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

2 tablespoons margarine
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup brown rice raw
1 onion minced
2 tomatoes peeled, seeded, and diced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning dried crushed
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
Few drops of hot pepper sauce

Directions:

Heat margarine and vegetable oil in a medium skillet. Add rice and onion cook until browned. Stir in tomatoes, herb seasoning, stock, salt, and hot pepper sauce bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours or until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender.
