No-Peek Stew

Ingredients

6 carrots, peeled and thickly sliced
3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 onion, sliced
3 stalks celery, sliced into 1-inch pieces
2 pounds beef stew, cubed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (14-ounce) can tomato sauce

Directions:

Arrange vegetables in a slow cooker; top with beef cubes. Blend flour, sugar, salt and pepper; sprinkle over meat. Pour tomato sauce over top; cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 9 hours.

Tip: Even when using a slow cooker, try not to peek at your No-Peek Stew! Total cooking time will increase by 15 to 20 minutes each time the lid is lifted.
