___ pound italian sausages link, cut in 1-inch pieces
___ cup water
_ green bell pepper medium
_ onion medium
_ 15-ounce can tomato sauce
Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and keep warm.
Meanwhile, place sausage in a 10-inch non-stick skillet with water. Over medium heat, bring to a boil. Cover and cook for 6 to 7 minutes or until water is almost evaporated. Remove lid and continue cooking until sausage is browned, turning with tongs as needed. Remove sausage from skillet; cover and keep warm. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of the juices.
Cut green pepper in half lengthwise, then slice crosswise. Cut onion in half lengthwise, then crosswise. Place green pepper and onion in juices in skillet. Stir to coat. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes or until vegetables are wilted and tender, stirring occasionally. Stir tomato sauce into vegetables. Add sausage. Cook until heated through.
Serve over spaghetti.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve with celery sticks and a citrus salad.
