Fresh Strawberry Sauce |

Makes 1 1/2 cups
Raspberries can also be prepared this way. If you do use raspberries, strain the sauce to eliminate the seeds.
1 pint fresh strawberries, rinsed and hulled
3 tablespoons sugar, or to taste
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
2 tablespoons orange liqueur, cassis or light rum
In a food processor or blender, combine all of the ingredients. Puree until smooth. Serve or transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator up to 24 hours.
