Venison Meat Balls

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground venison
2 cups grated raw potatoes (or run them through the meat grinder after venison)
1 tablespoon chopped onion
1 1/2 cups soda cracker crumbs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
3 cups water, divided
1/2 package Lipton beefy onion soup mix
2 tablespoons flour

Directions:

Combine venison, potatoes, onion, crackers, salt, pepper, egg, and milk; shape into 1 1/2-inch balls. Brown balls slowly in butter in large skillet. Add 1/2 cup water and soup mix; cover. Simmer for 20 minutes or until done. Remove meatballs.

To make gravy, add 1/2 cup cold water to flour, combine well, and add to pan with remaining water. Simmer until thick. Add meatballs. Heat.
