Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup minced celery with leaves
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon grated onion (1 small onion)
1 clove garlic, crushed through a press
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Directions:

In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use, up to 5 days.

Variation: Cucumber Ranch Dressing: Peel a medium cucumber. Cut in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds with the tip of a spoon. Grate on the large holes of a cheese grater. A handful at a time, squeeze out the excess liquid from the grated cucumber. Stir the grated cucumber into the prepared ranch dressing.
