Cream of Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

1 small head broccoli
1 medium onion
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 quart chicken broth
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 cups milk
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Directions:

Cook together broccoli, onion, thyme, and chicken broth until tender. In other pan, melt butter; stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Add milk and cook until bubbly. Mix with broccoli. Stir in cheese until melted.
