Barbecued Bean Soup

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups pinto beans
8 cups water
2 cups chopped carrots
1 cup chopped onion
1 meaty ham bone
1 (16-ounce) can tomato
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons prepared mustard

Directions:

Wash and soak beans. Cook with water, carrots, onion, and ham bone for 2 1/2 hours. Add the rest of ingredients and cook 1/2 hour more or till beans are tender. Remove ham bone; cut meat off of it and return meat to soup. Mash some of the beans in the blender to help thicken soup.
