Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Ingredients

2 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups bananas (4 medium), mashed
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped, or 1/2 cup Grape-Nuts

Directions:

1. Mix honey, oil and vanilla.

2. Add bananas and lemon juice. Mix well.

3. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda into banana mixture. Stir.

4. Fold in raisins and nuts

5. Bake in 2 loaf pans each 7 1/2 x 3 3/4 x 2 1/4 inches at 350°F for 35-40 minutes (325°F for black pans).

6. Cut each loaf into 12 slices.
