Gruyere Apple Spread

Ingredients

4 ounces neufchâtel cheese (1/2 cup)
1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese
1/2 cup gruyére cheese
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 cup shredded apple (unpeeled)
2 tablespoons finely chopped pecans
2 teaspoons minced chives
assorted cracker or celery stalks

Directions:

1. Place the cheeses in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the mustard and blend for 30 seconds.

2. Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl and fold in the apple and pecans. Sprinkle the dip with chives.

3. Cover and refrigerate the mixture for 1 to 2 hours. Serve chilled with crackers or stuff into celery stalks.
