Turnip Carrot Puree


Serves: 4

Ingredients

3 carrots
2 turnips
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Wash and peel carrots and turnips cut into 1-inch pieces. Cook in vegetable steamer or small amount of salted water for 10 to 12 minutes or until barely tender. Drain and puree together in food processor or blender or mash together with potato masher. Blend in butter or margarine and seasonings to taste. Serve with one last grind of pepper.
