4 onions peeled
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 dashes black pepper
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons butter
1 dash cloves ground
Cook whole onions in small amount salted water, covered, until barely tender, about 20 minutes. Arrange in well-buttered baking dish; season with salt and pepper to taste. Heat together honey and butter (or margarine); pour over onions. Sprinkle lightly with ground cloves. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Note: These may be baked at a lower temperature for a longer time to adjust to an oven meal.
