3 eggs yolk
1 egg
5 teaspoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon water cold
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cardamon ground cardamom
1 1/8 cups flour
Vegetable oil
Powdered sugar
Beat yolks with whole egg until light and fluffy. Add granulated sugar, water, vanilla, and cardamom. Add flour to make a soft dough. Let stand 15 minutes. Roll 1/3 dough to approximately 1/16 -inch thickness on lightly-floured board. Cut diagonally into diamond shapes. Fry in at least 1-inch deep vegetable oil heated to 375° F until light golden brown. Drain, cool, and dust with confectioners' sugar. Store in tightly covered container.
