Whisk together 3 cups milk, flour, salt and pepper until flour is dissolved. Pour into a large skillet. Simmer over medium-low heat, stirring constantly for 15 minutes. Brown sausage in a separate skillet over medium heat; drain and add to gravy mixture. Mix baking mix with remaining milk until a soft dough forms. Drop by spoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, or until golden. Ladle gravy over split biscuits.
Tip: Make someone feel extra special…serve them breakfast in bed! Fill a tray with breakfast goodies, the morning paper and a bright blossom tucked into a vase.
