Ginger Snaps

Ingredients

3/4 cup shortening
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup molasses
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cloves

Directions:

1. Cream Shortening and sugar.
2. Beat in molasses and egg.
3. Combine dry ingredients and blend.
4. Form into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar.
5. Place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350* for 8-10 minutes. Don't over bake!
