Chocolate Cookie

Serves: 12

Yield: 2 dozen


   1 cup shortening
   3/4 cup sugar
   3/4 cup brown sugar
   2 large eggs
   1/2 teaspoon water
   1 teaspoon vanilla extract
   1 teaspoon baking soda
   1 teaspoon salt
   2 1/4 cups flour
   1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips


1. Wash hands. Assemble all baking supplies and assemble ingredients. Preheat oven 370 degrees
2. Cream shorting and sugars together in large mixing bowl. Beat in eggs, water and vanilla in same mixing bowl. Sir in with wooden spoon, baking soda, salt, and flour. Stir until all ingredients are mixed together. Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes until light brown edges start to form.
3. Place cookies on cooling rack right after baking.
