Pepper-Cheese Twists

Ingredients

1/2 (17-ounce) package frozen puff pastry dough , thawed
1 egg, beaten
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
2 teaspoons black pepper

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 425°.
2. Roll sheet of dough into 18 x 12-inch rectangle brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle cheese over half of rectangle fold remaining half over cheese and press edges to seal.
3. Brush dough with egg sprinkle with pepper. Cut pastry lengthwise into 1/2-inch strips. Twist strips and place on cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown.
