Hamburgers Hawaiian

   2/3 cup evaporated milk
   1 1/2 pounds ground beef
   1/2 cup chopped onions
   2/3 cup crackers crumbs
   1 teaspoon salt
   1 (13 1/2-ounce) can pineapple chunks drained pineapple chunks, drained - reserve juice
   1 cup reserved juice plus enough water to make quantity
   2 tablespoons cornstarch
   1/4 cup vinegar
   1/4 cup brown sugar
   2 tablespoons soy sauce
   1 cup chopped green peppers
   Hamburger buns or toast


Combine evaporated milk, ground beef, onion, cracker crumbs, and salt. Form into small patties and brown in skillet; drain fat; add pineapple chunks. Add reserved juice with water. Mix cornstarch, vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce; add; cook until thick and clear. Add green pepper. Serve on hamburger buns or toast.
