Orange Wheels

Serves: 8

Print this Recipe

If you have a garnishing set that includes a food decorator tool or canalling knife, follow the given instructions. If those tools are unavailable, then you will find the following technique, taught to me by my mother, is quite simple and requires only a fork.

   1 orange

Using a fork, start at one end of the orange, and move the fork down to the other end of the orange, slightly piercing the skin. Repeat this process around the entire orange. Remove the ends and cut the orange into 1/4-inch thick slices. Make a slit by cutting through the peel and halfway into the flesh, and fit the slit over the rim of the glass.
