Turkey Jambalaya

Ingredients

2 tablespoons salad oil
1 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons salt
1 pepper to taste
2 teaspoons (or more) Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon thyme or marjoram, or both
3 cups water
1 1/2 cups uncooked rice
1 cups cubed cooked turkey or chicken
1 cups cubed cooked ham
1 small can mushrooms

Directions:

Heat oil and cook green pepper, onion, and garlic until tender. Stir in seasonings and water and simmer for 10 minutes. Mix in rice, turkey, and ham. Cook, covered, over low heat for 25 minutes or until rice is done. Add mushrooms with a little of their liquid. Cook about 5 minutes longer.
